Description
The minicourse aims at providing Ph.D. students with the tools to carry out research in the rapidly growing area of subjective expectations, with an emphasis on closely integrating economic theory, econometric methods, and survey-elicited subjective expectations in empirical microeconomic and macroeconomic work. The course will cover issues in survey elicitation of subjective expectations and their use in economic research across economic sub-fields. We will use a variety of empirical applications to illustrate how these tools and methods are combined to address important applied questions.
The course consists of 1 day of lectures, the day before the Workshop on Subjective Expectations 2025 (June 9-10). The conference brings together junior and senior researchers from the field to discuss recent advances in economic research using survey-elicited subjective expectations. The conference and the minicourse are hosted by Nova School of Business and Economics.
There is no registration fee for the course, but attendees will be responsible for covering travel and lodging.
