That’s a wrap on the 9th Linked Employer-Employee Data Workshop, hosted at Nova School of Business and Economics on 26-27 June 2026!
Over two days, researchers from across Europe, North America, and beyond came together to present and discuss cutting-edge work using linked employer-employee data, with this edition centering on two themes of growing policy relevance: productivity and inequality.
We were delighted to welcome two outstanding keynote speakers: Camille Landais (The London School of Economics and Political Science – LSE) on Day 1, and Pedro Portugal (Banco de Portugal and Nova SBE), who closed the workshop on Day 2.
Across 10 parallel sessions, researchers tackled some of the most pressing questions in labor economics today, from gender wage gaps and automation to immigration, youth employment, and the long-run effects of education policy.
We were also proud to see several of our own contributing to the program, including presentations from Roberto Hsu Rocha and Nova SBE Public Policy Institute-affiliated researchers Enzo Aragão de Almeida, Maria Madalena Temudo, João Gerardo, and Gustavo Gaspar.
Pedro Martins, Deputy Academic Director of the Nova SBE Public Policy Institute, delivered the welcome remarks, while Adeline Delavande, the ERA Chair Holder at EQUALNovaERA, led the closing remarks.
The 9th LEED Workshop edition was co-financed by the EQUALNovaERA Chair, the Haddad Productivity Lab of the Public Policy Institute, and Banco de Portugal.
